Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Mayfield House care home in the heart of the Walton-on-Thames. Mayfield House is a 30 bed residential care home for older people and those living with dementia. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care to elderly residents and possess strong leadership skills.

Duties:

- Develop and implement individual care plans for residents

- Administer medication and assist in a monthly medication cycle management

- Supervise and support care staff in delivering excellent service

- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals

- Utilise electronic systems for record-keeping and care management

- Drive continuous improvement in care standards

- Provide hands-on personal care to residents when required

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a leadership care role within a care home setting desirable

- Good leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate staff

- Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, families, and colleagues

- Proficient in developing and implementing care plans

- Ability to drive improvements in care delivery

- Genuine passion for providing high-quality care to elderly residents
