We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a compassionate approach to senior care. Duties
Provide personalised care to residents, supporting their daily needs with dignity and respect
Assist with medication administration following care plans and health protocols
Supervise and mentor junior care staff, ensuring adherence to care standards and company policies
Develop, review, and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly to the management team
Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, observations, and incidents
Support residents with mobility, personal hygiene, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing
Lead by example in delivering compassionate, professional care at all times
Skills
Proven experience in senior or specialised care environments, ideally within a care home setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members
Knowledge of care plans, health & safety regulations, and safeguarding procedures
Competency in IT systems used for record keeping and reporting purposes
Driving licence is desirable for supporting transportation needs or errands outside the home
Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise staff while maintaining a caring approach
Organised with excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently
