Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to elderly residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will be responsible for implementing care plans and supporting residents with daily activities while fostering a positive and supportive environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to supervise other staff members are essential for success in this position.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Implement and monitor individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Supervise junior staff members and provide guidance on best practices in senior care. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transportation. Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship. Adhere to health and safety regulations within the care home environment.

Experience

Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with elderly individuals and their families. Familiarity with IT systems used for maintaining care records is an advantage. Leadership skills to supervise and motivate a team of care assistants. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.
