Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant/Assistant Manager to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in our care home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, with the ability to lead and supervise a team effectively. You will play a crucial role in supporting the daily activities of our residents, ensuring their personal care, comfort and well-being while promoting independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs with support from the Manager. Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment. Maintain accurate electronic records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Participate in training sessions and ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is essential. NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care or working towards Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents and their families compassionately. Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining care records and documentation. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and improving the lives of seniors. Ability to work flexible hours as required by the needs of the care home.

Pay: 14.48 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 48 per week
