Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a care home environment, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will play a key role in supervising staff and assisting in the implementation of care plans tailored to meet the individual needs of our residents. Your leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively will be vital in fostering a positive atmosphere for both residents and staff.

Responsibilities



Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and mobility support. Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support as needed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans for each resident. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure a high standard of care is maintained. Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents within the care home. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and safe environment for all. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in senior care.

Qualifications



Previous experience in a care home or senior care setting is essential. leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents, families, and colleagues. IT skills for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of elderly individuals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when required. A relevant qualification in health or social care would be advantageous but not essential.

Pay: 13.87-16.32 per hour
