Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety during movement. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to appropriate personnel. Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in hobbies or interests.

Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following skills:

Proficiency in medication administration and understanding of medical terminology. Experience in dementia care and knowledge of senior care practices. Basic first aid skills to respond effectively to emergencies. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families. Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on enhancing quality of life.
