The Role:



We are seeking a caring, compassionate, dynamic and experienced Senior Carer to provide strong leadership to our dedicated care team. As a Senior Carer, you will be pivotal in ensuring the delivery of exceptional care standards, promoting best practices, and maintaining a positive and person-centred culture within the home. You will work closely with the Home Manager and other senior staff to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide strong and visible leadership to the care team, acting as a role model for best practice. Oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of person-centred care, ensuring individual needs and preferences are met. Monitor the health and well-being of residents, working in collaboration with GP's, other healthcare professionals, and families. Manage medication administration and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures. Effectively communicate with residents, families, and other stakeholders. Contribute to the development and delivery of staff training. Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with legal and organisational requirements. Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive working environment for all staff.

Skills and Experience:



Experience in a health and social care setting, preferably within a care home environment. Proven experience in a leadership role, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices within the care sector. Knowledge of care planning, risk assessment, and medication management. Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Ability to problem-solve, make decisions, and work effectively under pressure. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. A commitment to person-centred care and continuous improvement. IT literate with experience of using electronic care planning systems (desirable).
