As a Senior Carer you will provide personalised support and assistance to individuals in their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities include aiding with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and companionship. The role also involves coordinating care plans, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and supervising junior carers. Strong communication skills, empathy, and experience in elder care are essential for this position.
This position will require both home care calls in & around Hackney, while potentially also assisting managers.
Skills
Proficiency in first aid and basic life support techniques.
Experience in nursing homes or care homes is highly desirable.
Knowledge of senior care practices, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
Familiarity with medication administration protocols and medical terminology.
Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient care and compassion.
Ability to prepare meals that meet specific dietary needs.
Competence in case management and developing individualised care plans.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. This role requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about providing high-quality care to those in need while fostering a supportive environment for both clients and their families.
