Durnsford Lodge is looking for a confident and caring Senior care assistant to join our friendly team.
As a senior care assistant you will work closely with the home management team to ensure the safe and effective running of the home.
Working Arrangements:
You will be part of a team of 3 Senior carers.
Duties:
These will include providing a leading role on each shift, ensuring the effective allocation and direction of staff while assisting where needed. Monitoring all care records to ensure all our residents needs are met. Administration of medication. Being a point of contact for professionals and visitors to the home, You will report any safeguarding concerns or complaints to the manager and ensure that incidents are properly recorded, escalated and action taken where required. To provide mentorship and formal supervision to junior staff.
To provide personal care, daily assistance, and emotional support to the residents in the home and documenting evidence of the above.
Qualifications
- Supervising experience
- Leadership skills
- Proficiency in creating and implementing care plans
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driver's license for driving responsibilities
- Experience in senior care or care home settings
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication purposes
