What You'll Do

As a Senior Carer, you will deliver high-standard personal care and support to clients in their homes. Your role will also include supervisory responsibilities to ensure excellent care delivery and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Support clients with daily living activities: personal care, dressing, toileting, eating, and drinking Prepare meals, snacks, and drinks as per individual dietary needs Administer and monitor medication, report adverse reactions, and safely dispose of unused medication Assist with mobility and transfers using correct moving & handling techniques Provide companionship, emotional support, and reassurance to clients and their families Keep living environments clean and safe with light housekeeping and tidying tasks Monitor and record client wellbeing, and report changes or concerns promptly Maintain accurate care documentation and ensure effective handovers Encourage independence and promote a fulfilling lifestyle for each client Support clients in accessing community resources and appointments

Senior Duties:

Carry out

spot checks

and

medication competency assessments

on care staff Review and update

person-centred care plans

Participate in

on-call rota

(additional pay provided) Use

Care Planner

to update rosters and monitor staff performance Liaise with management, Care Coordinators, and healthcare professionals Attend weekly team meetings at our Rotherham office

What We're Looking ForEssential:

Proven experience in a care setting, preferably domiciliary or residential Experience working with elderly clients and those with dementia Confident in administering medication and maintaining care plans Valid First Aid & CPR certification Strong communication and people skills Ability to manage behaviours and promote safety

Desired:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards) Experience with electronic care systems (e.g., Care Planner) Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
