Job Overview
As a Unit Manager at Osborne House, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of one of our units within our Care Home. This position requires strong leadership skills and a compassionate approach to senior care, ensuring that residents receive high-quality support tailored to their individual needs. You will be responsible for administering medication, managing staff, implementing care plans, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a positive environment for both residents and staff.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate caregiving staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans for residents, ensuring they meet their specific needs
Oversee medication administration, ensuring compliance with medical protocols and safety regulations.
Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary.
Provide training and support to staff on best practices in senior care, including behaviour management and case management techniques.
Ensure that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date, including medical terminology related to patient records.
Foster a supportive environment for residents, promoting dignity and respect in all interactions.
Skills
Qualification in NVQ Level 3 is highly desirable.
Proven experience in a nursing home or care home setting, with a focus on senior care.
Proficient in medication administration and understanding of medical terminology.
Excellent caregiving skills with the ability to manage patient needs effectively.
Strong organisational skills to manage case management tasks efficiently.
