Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring the comfort and safety of clients, and promoting their overall well-being. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring hospice or home care.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care services, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Administer medication and monitor health conditions as directed by healthcare professionals. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social activities. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring that their living space is tidy and organised. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care. Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in accordance with case management protocols. Support clients emotionally by providing companionship and engaging in meaningful conversations or activities. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary.

Experience

Previous experience in patient care or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Familiarity with senior care practices, hospice care, home care settings, or nursing homes is advantageous. A background in case management or nursing is beneficial for understanding client needs effectively. Certification in first aid or CPR is desirable to ensure readiness for emergency situations. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients as needed.
