The Senior Caseworker will be part of the Skills and Employment Team delivering client facing services to residents of Kensington & Chelsea and other North London Boroughs at various outreach locations and community hubs.
You will provide support and activities for adults with complex needs who have been severely disadvantaged, to enable participants to develop improved employability skills and progress into sustainable employment.
Peer Circles offers a client-centred approach to meet individual requirements, while addressing wider barriers and issues as well as employability and readiness for employment. Peer advisors are central to the project and will be recruited from the participant group.
(1) Key Deliverables

Empowering participants to set and pursue their goals through ongoing action planning, encouragement, and motivational support delivered individually and in groups.
Leading the delivery of flexible services to individuals with complex needs to improve their employability skills and help them move into sustainable employment.
Providing day-to-day supervision, support and guidance to the Volunteer Peer Advisor, allocating work and carrying out your own direct work with participants.
Organising the promotion of the project, coordinating the recruitment and engagement of participants and ensuring each participant has a comprehensive initial assessment of their employment and wider needs.
Completing risk assessments and safety plans in line with St Giles Safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety of participants on the project.
Developing excellent relationships with colleagues and local stakeholders and identifying wider local services that can provide support to participants.
Recording all participant activities on the recording system and providing data and narrative reports for external and internal purposes.
Ensuring that confidentiality and security of information is maintained in accordance with our Confidentiality, Data Protection, IT and Security policies. Promoting sustainable working practices and reducing the environmental impact of St Giles work.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
Significant experience building positive outcomes with individuals facing multiple and complex challenges.
Commitment to the concept and effectiveness of peer approaches.
Proven ability to evaluate the needs of vulnerable individuals and implement person-centered interventions to meet those needs effectively.
Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment, safety planning, and coaching colleagues to apply these practices successfully.
Experience of developing successful inter-agency work, particularly with a view to working successfully with referring agencies to support the needs of participants.
Experience of supervising and supporting volunteers to deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable people.
The ability to use monitoring systems to record all aspects of the project activity including referrals, assessments, actions, outcomes and demonstrate achievement of targets.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including letter writing, advocacy, and proficient IT abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with managers and staff to set and deliver organisational goals, and to resolve conflicts of interest professionally.
Sound knowledge of anti-discriminatory practices and their application within the workplace.
Practical application of diversity awareness and unconscious bias in employment.
