Senior Caseworker

About the role



The purpose of this role is to ensure that caseworkers deliver high-quality, effective, and efficient services to all clients and customers, in line with established policies and procedures. As part of the management team, the postholder will play a key role in driving the service forward, supporting the delivery of business plan objectives, implementing strategic priorities, and fostering innovation and continuous improvement.


Provide leadership, management, and support to a team of caseworkers across diverse service areas. Oversee complex cases, offering expert guidance on safeguarding, risk management, and best practice. Monitor team performance, conduct regular supervision, and champion staff development and training. Build and maintain strong working relationships with external agencies, stakeholders, and service users. Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Drive service development, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare reports, manage budgets, and contribute to funding applications as needed. Promote and uphold a strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

About you

Essential




Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external partners experience of working with older people and/or people with disabilities Experience of advice-giving work Experience of delivering face to face advice and support Understanding of financial assessment

Desirable




Being Trusted Assessor trained would be desirable General education to GCSE standard to include English and Maths at C grade or above
