We are seeking an experienced Senior CDP (Chef de Partie) to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a culinary background and demonstrate exceptional skills in food preparation and cooking. As a Senior CDP, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and mentoring junior kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

Oversee the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes in accordance with our menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices throughout the kitchen. Assist in the training and development of junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on culinary techniques and best practices. Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure effective communication and coordination during service periods. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels. Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential. Previous experience in meal preparation, including the ability to work under pressure during busy service periods. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality output. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities when required. A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.
