Job Description

The Senior Chef de Partie supports the General Manager in leading the kitchen team to ensure an efficient, safe, and consistent service. This role oversees compliance, cost management, stock control, par levels, and kitchen cleanliness. The Senior CDP will also act as lead chef during busy periods and support staff development through training and guidance.

Key Responsibilities



Kitchen Leadership

o Lead by example in the kitchen, ensuring high standards are always upheld.

o Act as the lead chef during peak service periods.

o Assist with training, mentoring, and motivating kitchen staff.

o Attend weekly meetings with the General Manager to ensure clear lines of communication.

o Foster a positive, supportive, and safe working environment.

Compliance & Food Safety

o Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards are consistently met.

o Maintain necessary documentation and complete compliance checks.

o Support the team in adhering to allergen, sanitation, and safety guidelines.

Stock & Cost Management

o Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels and par levels.

o Conduct weekly stock counts and support ordering to prevent shortages or waste.

o Work with the General Manager to manage kitchen costs and reduce wastage.

o Ensure deliveries are checked accurately and stored appropriately.

Kitchen Cleanliness & Organisation

o Ensure the kitchen meets cleanliness standards at all times.

o Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.

o Maintain equipment care and report maintenance needs promptly.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen environment. Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance practices. Confident leading a team during busy service periods. Good organisational skills with attention to stock, cost, and waste control. Positive attitude and commitment to high-quality food and service. Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive under pressure
The shift pattern will be 7am - 4pm/ 8am-5pm
