We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations particularly a proven background in high volume using fresh ingredients. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow and contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Ensure that all food production is completed in a timely manner to meet service demands.
Collaborate with team members to maintain an organised and efficient kitchen environment.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation to minimise waste.
Help maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Experience
Proven experience in food preparation within a professional kitchen environment is required.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in culinary operations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate team members effectively.
A background in cooking for high volume using fresh ingredients some days you are catering for 500+.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Details
Hourly rate is 13 per hour plus Tronc which averages 2.50 per hour(please note Tronc is paid in cash weekly)
Meals, Soft Drinks and Tea/ Coffee whilst on shift.
Hours vary from 40 -45 on average normally working 4 days over 7.
We are closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day
