Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food is served. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Participate in menu planning and development by providing input on new dishes or improvements to existing ones.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in food preparation. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
