The Boathouse at Danson Park is seeking a skilled and dynamic
Chef
with a passion for creating exceptional banqueting experiences. This is a
hands-on leadership role
where you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring top-quality food production for events and day-to-day operations. You will lead and inspire a team of culinary professionals, craft memorable menus, and maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Development:
Plan and execute innovative menus in collaboration with management, tailored for banqueting and special events.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and consistent delivery of exceptional food quality.
Culinary Excellence:
Oversee food preparation to meet recipes, presentation standards, and taste expectations, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels, control costs, and manage supplier relationships to maintain a fully stocked and cost-effective kitchen.
Health & Safety:
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and uphold rigorous sanitation and hygiene standards.
Kitchen Operations:
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment to support seamless service.
Innovation:
Stay informed of industry trends, introducing fresh ideas and techniques to elevate the menu offerings.
Customer Interaction:
Address any customer concerns or feedback regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a
Chef
or equivalent senior role in a banqueting or hospitality setting.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide staff.
Expertise in menu planning, food production, and recipe development.
Thorough knowledge of culinary techniques, cuisines, and kitchen operations.
Familiarity with large-scale food production, particularly for banqueting and events.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and industry best practices.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and collaboration.
