Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Childcare Provider to join our team. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for supporting the development of young minds. Experience in supervising children and implementing care plans is essential.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with children in various activities to promote their physical, emotional, and social development. Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs. Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Assist with daily routines including meal preparation, hygiene practices, and educational activities. Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff or volunteers when necessary. Drive children to various locations as required, ensuring their safety during transport.

Qualifications

Previous experience in childcare or a related field is highly desirable. Supervising experience is essential to ensure effective management of children's activities. Strong communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Knowledge of care home practices or senior care is an advantage but not mandatory. Ability to create engaging activities that cater to different age groups and developmental stages. Proficiency in IT for maintaining records and communicating with parents or guardians effectively.
