Duties
Lead by Example:
Take on a leadership role, mentoring and guiding the nursery team to ensure the highest standard of care, education, and practice.
Child Development:
Plan, observe, and assess children's progress to ensure their individual needs are met and their developmental milestones are achieved.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the Nursery Manager and other practitioners to create a positive, supportive, and collaborative team environment.
Safeguarding:
Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, following safeguarding policies and procedures.
Parental Engagement:
Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates and supporting them in their child's development.
Health & Safety:
Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic environment for children and staff, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Training & Development:
Support the professional development of junior staff, providing training, coaching, and guidance where necessary.
Requirements
Level SVQ 4 (Level 9)
Proven experience
in a childcare setting, ideally in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of the pre birth-three and realising the ambition
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults.
A proactive, energetic, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Current disclosure Scotland check ( this will be renewed before recruitment).
Registered with SSSC and ability to uphold codes of practice.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 13.00-13.30 per hour
