In this role, you will lead the day-to-day care of young people, mentor and inspire junior staff, and ensure that every care plan is delivered with

Key Responsibilities
Deliver
therapeutic, child-centred care
that supports emotional, social, and physical wellbeing.
Lead, guide, and develop a team of Residential Support Workers during shifts.
Act as a
keyworker
, supporting care plans, therapeutic goals, and risk assessments.
Foster a
warm, supportive, and progressive home environment
where positive relationships and daily routines thrive.
Support household tasks and organise activities that encourage personal growth, skill development, and independence.
Build strong partnerships with
families, social workers, and external professionals
to ensure integrated and forward-thinking care.
Apply advanced de-escalation and behaviour management strategies to create safe and constructive environments.
Promote safeguarding, equality, and inclusion in every aspect of care.
Participate actively in ongoing professional development, supervision, and on-call support.
Support education, life skills, and personal development initiatives to help young people reach their full potential.
About You
We are looking for someone who is
passionate about empowering young people through innovative and therapeutic care
and can bring:
Previous experience in a residential childcare or therapeutic setting (essential).
Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or working towards it (essential).
Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
The ability to remain calm, resilient, and solutions-focused under pressure.
Empathy, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to safeguarding.
A full UK driving licence (preferred).
