About Childs Play:

We are a friendly and happy Childcare provider based in schools in west swansea. Our beautifully appointed settings provide high quality childcare to children from the age of 2 years to 11 years. Our team are dynamic and welcoming and we fully support our team in undertaking continued professional development. Our settings are open term time only with the option to work in our school holiday clubs.

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for a bubbly and professional childcare practitioner with some management experience to join our happy and friendly Childsplay team.

The position entails supporting our setting manager. This role entails taking on responsibility for coordinating the toddler room, acting as a point of contact for them and their families and liaising with other coordinators such as after school club coordinator. There are many facets to this role;

-ensuring planning is relevant and that children's development is progressing.

-creating a welcoming environment

-building wonderful relationships with families and associated staff

-liaising with admin staff and maintaining accurate registers

-working closely with childcare team members

The successful candidate will be a proactive, enthusiastic team member who enjoys working with children from 2 years - 12 years with a particular love for working with 2-3 year olds.

The setting is open from 7:30am to 5:50pm Monday-Friday term time only, there will be an opportunity to increase hours during holiday clubs.

All candidates must be qualified up to a minimum of CACHE level 3 or equivalent, a level 5 qualification is desirable. It would also be advantageous to have the Playworks qualification and a clean driving license. The ability to speak welsh is also a positive.

Qualifications:

cache level 3 or equivalent is a minimum requirement. A level 5 and Playworks qualification are desirable.

Pay: From 12.40 per hour
