Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Leader/Senior Practitioner to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children in our care. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children.
Duties:
-Supervise and mentor staff members/Apprentices in your group
-Ensure planning and observations are completed for all children in your age group
- Supervise and engage with children in various activities, including playtime, arts and crafts, and educational games
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
- Maintain a clean and organised childcare environment
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks to children
- Assist with nappy changes and potty training as needed
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including maintaining proper hygiene practices
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities to promote learning and development
Qualifications:
-Minimum full and relevant L3 Childcare qualification
- Extensive experience working with children in a childcare setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a group of children effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices
-Leadership experience preferable
