Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or guardians
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive in
- Plan and engage children in age-appropriate activities, such as games, crafts, and outdoor play
- Maintain a clean and organised space for the children, including tidying up toys and cleaning up after meals
- Support the assistants with their key person responsibilities as well as managing their own.
- Assist the General Manager in planning the menu and curriculum activities of the setting.
Person Specifications:
Ideal but not essential:
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a childcare setting
- Relevant EYFS and curriculum training
- Food Safety Hygiene Level 2
- Relevant Safeguarding training
Essential:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to connect with children of different ages
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
