Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential assistance to children and young people. This role involves working closely with families, care teams, and educational professionals to support the wellbeing and development of children in various settings. The Support Worker will play a vital part in creating a safe, nurturing environment that promotes positive growth and independence.

It is essential to hold a Level 3 or 4 qualification in Children's Care.

Duties

Assist children with daily activities, including personal care and routines Support children in participating in educational, recreational, and social activities Implement and follow individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs Provide transportation for appointments, outings, or activities as required Maintain clear communication with families, care teams, and other professionals regarding progress and concerns Monitor and record behavioural developments and any incidents in accordance with organisational policies Foster a supportive environment that encourages confidence and independence in children Ensure health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times

Skills

Experience working with children or in childcare environments is highly desirable Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely is preferred Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with children, families, and team members Knowledge of child development principles and care planning processes IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and documentation Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people's growth and wellbeing Organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
