Summary
We want to employ a resilient, enthusiastic and dynamic female senior residential support worker to join our staff team at Hope House, where you will play a vital role in caring for young people who have experienced trauma and loss through their childhood.
Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate that they hold the same values as Forte Care and that they will go the extra mile to ensure that children and young people are provided with a safe, caring and nurturing experience of life at Hope House.
Hope House is a solo home and to meet the needs of the child living in the home these vacancies are open to females only.
Responsibilities
Provide compassionate care to children and young people, fostering a nurturing environment.
Ensure that the care provided reflects the child's individual care plan and risk assessment.
Understands what is emotional resilience and why this is relevant to working with 'hard to place' children
Engage in training and development to better understand children's needs
Ensure that reporting and recording is undertaken in a timely manner, with attention to detail and reflects the needs of the child.
Contributing to team work and collaboration at all times
Commit to diversity and equality and understand the importance and relevance of this in a children's home
Understand the importance of integrity and why this is relevant to the role
Understand that all children and young people are unique, individuals
Understand the impact of abuse and neglect on a child's development
Understanding of what safeguarding is and how this is implemented in a children's home
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children or in childcare settings.
Have completed or near completion of their Level 4 in children's residential care
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, colleagues, and professionals
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
A valid driving license is essential.
IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
