Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children, in their daily activities. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to implement care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in our care.

Duties



Assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety. Develop and implement care plans tailored to the specific needs of each individual. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care. Provide support in childcare settings, including supervising activities and ensuring a safe environment. Maintain accurate records of progress and any changes in behaviour or condition. Drive clients to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring they arrive safely and on time. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes. Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages independence and personal growth.

Qualifications



Previous experience working with children or in a similar support role is desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and colleagues. Familiarity with developing care plans is advantageous. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as necessary. Basic IT skills are required for record keeping and communication tasks. A caring attitude with a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others is essential.
