About the Role

Gigawatt Industries Ltd is a leading Independent Connections Provider (ICP) delivering end-to-end EV charging and electrical infrastructure projects across the UK.

We are seeking a

Senior Civil Engineer

to take a leading role in setting out, quality assurance, and compliance management across multiple live projects.

This is a

hands-on, site-based engineering role

working directly with our civils and electrical delivery teams to ensure each project is built exactly to specification -- from initial setting-out through to final inspection and sign-off.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out

setting-out and level control

for foundations, ducting routes, cable trenches, plinths, and charger bases using coordinate data from design drawings and surveys. Verify

accuracy of on-site works

against drawings, technical specifications, and DNO/IDNO requirements. Oversee

quality, workmanship, and compliance inspections

across multiple sites, recording findings and actions. Support the delivery teams with

method statements, as-built records, and red-line drawings

. Ensure all

civils work packages

are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with Gigawatt's construction standards. Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, and client representatives to maintain

programme integrity and technical compliance

. Provide feedback and technical input to continuous improvement processes within the civils department.

About You

Proven experience as a

Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer / Civil Engineer

working on utilities, infrastructure, or EV-charging-related projects. Strong understanding of

surveying, setting-out equipment, coordinate data, and construction tolerances

. Confident working across multiple sites and coordinating with different regional teams. Excellent knowledge of

civil construction methods, materials, and QA documentation

. Full UK driving licence (vehicle provided). Comfortable travelling and staying away as required. Ideally

registered or working toward IEng

with the

Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)

or equivalent professional body.
