Job Description

Due to the increasing workload within YTL Construction (Infrastructure), we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Estimator to work as part of the Estimating team.



You will deliver construction estimates for in-house teams and provide assurance and governance to schemes delivered with our external partners.

What you'll do

------------------



You will prepare civil estimates through the interpretation of civil drawings and specifications, as well as reviewing tender enquiry documents, drawings, and schedules. Information will also be gathered from site visits and meetings.



You will also record, measure and prepare take-off quantities from tender drawings and liaise with sales and contracting teams, as well as purchasing and lead the negotiation with our supply chain.



You will work with our Commercial teams and be involved in negotiating variations, applications and final accounts with our external construction partners, creating strong relationships with our Designers, Project Managers, client teams and suppliers.

What you'll need

You will have significant civil engineering experience. Water and wastewater experience is highly desirable.



You will be able to prepare civil engineering estimates, analyse engineering drawings, and prepare sub-contractor and supplier enquiries and contract documents.



You must have excellent computer skills, with extensive knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs, and a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
