Job description

As a Senior Engineer you will be responsible for working independently, interfacing with clients on the technical and financial management of projects. The role will lead bridge design and construction projects, managing technical teams, and ensuring successful delivery. This role involves overseeing the development of detailed designs and managing project timelines and budgets.

The ideal candidate should have

5-8 years of experience in civil and structural engineering. A good knowledge of CAD production standards Ability to work to deadlines Ability to produce accurate and structured drawings A good communicator who will discuss and resolve technical issues Attend meetings representing the team as well as representing the company in industry events and technical publications.

Responsibilities include:

Lead the design, planning, and execution of engineering projects. Development of conceptual designs and producing engineering designs, drawings and reports in accordance with project requirements and ensure technical compliance. Oversee and review engineering calculations, reports, and specifications. Manage aspects of project delivery, technical reviews, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance. Manage project budgets and preparation of tenders / fee proposals, timelines, and client relationships. Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements. Provide mentorship, guidance and supervision to other engineers and foster technical development within the team. Participate in business development by supporting proposal writing and technical submissions. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project execution. Site work, overnight or weekend working may be required.

Advantageous

Strong leadership, project management, and client management skills. Familiarity with contract administration and procurement processes. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or related discipline from an ICE accredited course Incorporated or Chartered Engineer with ICE or related professional body
