Senior Claims Handler - Wherstead

Salary 25k - 35k depending on experience / Flexible Hours / Office Based, Wherstead, Ipswich

NFU Mutuals Agency in Wherstead, Ipswich is an expanding local business, with a rapidly growing commercial book.



We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Claims Handler to join our team and deal with the customers claims across the full breadth of our products, from motor through to commercial.



There will be scope to progress to larger technical claims and face to face client meetings, should there be a desire for development.



We aim to provide a world class customer service, and this means being available to answer calls from our customers supporting them with all aspects of their claim from first notification and through all ongoing queries. To support this, a large part of your day will be scheduled to answer inbound customer calls and taking necessary actions on their claims to proactively move them forward. You will manage claims from cradle to grave which will involve liaising with third party firms.



We will always look for ways to settle our customers' claims, rather than excuses not to. This makes working in claims altogether more satisfying and more rewarding. It means less no, more yes. You'll listen closely to the customer and what they need - reassuring them and giving them peace of mind at what can be a stressful time. As well as the customer, you'll talk to NFU Mutual Claims staff and relevant third parties to settle claims quickly and efficiently.



From the moment you pick up the phone, you'll make customers feel at ease, giving them the time, care and attention, they deserve.



We are looking for a new colleague with a "can do attitude" and positive energy, who will:

Demonstrate the drive, energy and enthusiasm required to provide a fantastic customer experience to our existing clients Bring proven experience in a claims focused role Be a proficient IT user with good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Be a problem solver who enjoys working as part of a team with a positive can-do attitude Have good organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks Have the ability and desire to learn new systems, products, processes and skills
