Sheffield Teaching Hospitals is seeking to appoint two Senior Clinical Fellows in General Medicine (IMT3/ST3+ equivalent) beginning August 2025 for a 12 month fixed term contract until end of July 2026. The post does not attract a National Training Number.As this post is not recognised as a 'training post', full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required, and if the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK sponsorship will be required.The duties of these posts are equivalent to IMT3/ST3+ level. Successful completion of MRCP and 12 months experience at IMT2/equivalent is essential.Any further vacancies that arise during the advertising period for this grade will be considered from this advert.Main duties of the jobThe ST3-level clinical duties will include in-patient duties as part of a team managing patients admitted under general medicine consultants. This will include providing support to junior colleagues. There will be the opportunity to attend out-patient clinics.   • Recognition of, and ability to undertake the initial management of, an acutely ill patient
  • Ability to maximise safety and minimise risk
  • Ability to apply sound clinical knowledge and judgement to problems
