Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pharmacist to join the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust pharmacy team. The position will be based at Basildon site, where you will be part of an innovative team, and be involved in many exciting projects to promote and deliver high quality clinical service to our patients with a focus on haematology.



We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious pharmacist with excellent clinical knowledge and organisational skills. You will be working closely with the multidisciplinary teams located at the three sites in Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. This will be a great opportunity to develop your clinical leadership role and play an active part in change management projects.

Lead and develop the Clinical Pharmacy Service in line with objectives set Lead Pharmacist for Clinical Services.



Provide a Clinical Pharmacy Service to allocated wards



Provides an emergency duty pharmacist commitment



Manage staff in order to ensure the effective operation of the Services



Develop your existing role as an independent prescriber, or working towards this goal



Contribute to cost effective medicines usage in all elements of work



To carry out any other duties of a similar nature consistent with the responsibilities of this job description



To provide clinical training for pharmacy staff and undergraduates
