What are we looking for?

We are recruiting a Senior Clinical Pharmacist in Critical Care , reporting to the Lead Clinical Pharmacist. The post holder will be responsible for the optimisation of processes for Critical Care medicines, development and implementation of clinical strategies, continuously improving patient care and furthering our contribution to healthcare.

With patient safety as our main priority, we have deployed cutting-edge technology and innovative processes to support a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Pharmacy service. This includes unit dose production and dispensing as well as comprehensive CIVAS to ensure the right medicine is prepared for the right patient at the right dose through the right technique. We are operating a closed loop medicines management system including automated stock management to ensure timely and efficient supply of medicines to clinical areas. The unique barcode medicines administration at the bedside and a fully integrated system for the electronic health records supports safe and effective prescribing, clinical screening and patient monitoring.

What we need from you?

To join us, you will need experience in working in Critical Care and managing complex patients requiring level 3 care. You will also have previously worked with multidisciplinary teams, data analysis and electronic systems. You must be a GPhC registered pharmacist, and have the ability to critically analyse complex situations, apply problem-solving skills, as well as work in a pressurised environment with minimal supervision.
