We invite you to become part of our dedicated team at Parkview Clinic, a newly refurbished regional inpatient CAMHS facility in Moseley (Birmingham), surrounded by a serene woodland walk.



Rated 'Good' by CQC (2024), Parkview Clinic forms part of Forward Thinking Birmingham - the city's mental health partnership for 0-25 year olds. We have two positions available across our three wards for those aged 11-18:



Ashfield:

an 8-bed general adolescent unit with seclusion facility. Heathlands: a 14-bed general adolescent unit for various mental health difficulties. Irwin: a 12-bed specialist eating disorder service.



Your role responsibilities ...



As part of our team of 6 Psychologists, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising doctors, family therapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, nurses, social workers, and support staff. Your responsibilities will include:



Delivering psychological assessments and evidence-based treatments (DBT, CBT, EMDR, FBT, MFT, NVR) to our young people and families, individually and in groups. Providing post-incident team reflections, reflective practice, supervision, and ward learning forums. Contributing to the evaluation of outcomes for children and families, and supporting meaningful service improvements aligned with national and regional priorities. NHS pension scheme and annual leave entitlement - 27 days increasing to 35 days + bank holidays (depending on length of service) Post-event team reflect service, wellbeing hub and massage chair CPD opportunities, including a range of exclusive national training in therapeutic expertise/leadership/education and service development. 'Parkview Council' a staff-led initiative promoting staff psychological, and physical wellbeing. Free onsite parking (subject to availability) with electric car charging points and access to a discounted cafeteria with breakout space. Parkview Clinic is situated in Moseley and a short distance from King's Heath high street. The area boasts excellent shops/cafes and transport links, including multiple bus routes and the upcoming reopening of King's Heath railway station.



We will consider post registration experienced psychologists for a Band 8a position and those newly/recently qualified for a Band 7 opportunity (includes preceptorship and full training).



Our working hours are 37.5, Monday to Friday. We have 2 opportunities available, comprising 1.6wte. Upto 1wte post is available; part-time and full-time working can be considered.
