Your mission will be to support us in shaping the technology future of RWE Supply & Trading GmbH! This means to unite innovation, interaction, standardization and security at the intersection point of technology, human talent and the business of energy trading.

Be an integral part of our journey of adopting DevSecOps for delivery of applications, championing the areas of threat modelling, secure design, and secure implementation all the way to secure operation as a Cloud Application Security Architect. You will work within the Architecture and Cloud IT RWEST Team and report into the Chief Architect.

• Design and implement secure infrastructure for our AWS-centric cloud application portfolio and digital / data platforms as a trusted partner of our application teams and in cooperation with central Infrastructure and Cyber Security teams
• Provide hands-on support to teams in the fields of application security architecture, Identity and Access Management and IT Security control design and their implementation
• Support the selection of appropriate security tools and services for the application portfolio and their S-SDLC processes, including the consideration of recommended practice and costs
• Participate in the on-going migration of our application portfolio from a shared AWS account to an AWS multi-account setup by securing infrastructure components and supporting application teams in the migration
• Take a leading role in our IT Security and Application Security forums and workgroups and help to increase our organizational skill level and cohesion, utilize our established Security Champion community as a central asset
• Design, align and own requirement frameworks, implementation guidelines and recommended practices for secure cloud infrastructure and application implementation to create an actionable requirement context for our teams, while meeting security requirements, design principles and group wide RWE Policies
• Build up our internal capabilities in cloud and application security and guide the organization through upskilling plans

Your powerful skills

• University degree (Bachelor or higher) in a related field
• Several years\' experience in the design and implementation of security mechanism for AWS cloud environments including cloud-native solutions and experience with AWS KMS and AWS Security Hub (e.g. as an IT Security Architect)
• Demonstratable experience in leading or guiding professional software development teams on best practices along the complete S-SDLC from secure design and threat modelling all the way to secure release and operations
• Practical and theoretical understanding of DevSecOps and Secure CI/CD for technology stacks including Docker Containers, Terraform IaC, SAST/DAST/IAST, Vulnerability Management etc.
• Deep knowledge of Identity and Access Management for cloud platforms, including Privileged Access Management, Privileged Identity Management and Single Sign-On (SSO)
• Relevant AWS certifications in the domains Architecture and Security, e.g. SAA-C03, SAP-C01, SCS-C01
• Team spirit and intercultural competency, strong communication as well as time- and self-management skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and work in and with different (business, domain, regional) cultures
• Excellent language skills in English

Advantageous, but not a must

• Professional application development and management experience
• Experience working in energy, commodity or financial trading organizations
• German language skills
