The Role




As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure. You will work with a team of talented engineers to ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and secure. Your expertise will help drive the architecture of robust cloud solutions that support our expanding product offerings, making you an integral part of Commify's ongoing success.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, and mentor junior engineers while continuously improving our cloud infrastructure practices.

Requirements



Key Responsibilities:



Design, implement, and optimise cloud infrastructure (Azure) using best practices. Manage and maintain cloud environments, ensuring high availability and performance. Comfortable managing on premise infrastructure. Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline deployment and operations. Conduct regular assessments of the cloud infrastructure for security and performance improvements. Implement automated solutions for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance. Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption when beneficial.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:



Strong experience in cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure. Comfortable with Linux or Windows infrastructure. Proficient in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Expertise in working with containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Solid understanding of networking principles and cloud security best practices. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools, including Azure DevOps or Jenkins. Strong scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Previous experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Azure Monitor, or Prometheus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Desirable Qualifications:



Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Knowledge of database management in cloud solutions (e.g., Azure SQL, Cosmos DB). Familiarity with compliance and regulatory considerations in cloud environments. Experience in agile methodologies and working in fast-paced environments.
