Senior Commercial Electrician

At Clayton Glass, we do things differently--and we're proud of it. The Clayton Difference is at the heart of everything we do, from creating innovative products to fostering strong, lasting relationships with our customers and team members. We believe in honesty, loyalty, and a shared commitment to excellence, which is why we put people first in every aspect of our business.

About the Role

As the

Senior Commercial Electrician

at Clayton Glass, you'll take on the role of

Responsible Person (Electrical)

across our Harelaw site -- and beyond. You'll be the go-to expert overseeing, approving, and implementing all electrical activities across our manufacturing and warehouse operations.

This is a standout opportunity for an experienced electrician who wants to do more than just maintain -- someone who wants to

lead, improve,

and

leave their mark.

This role blends

technical leadership

with

hands-on work

. You'll be at the forefront of improving site safety and performance -- from delivering and verifying Category 1, 2, and 3 remedial works from EICR thorough inspection reports, to designing, maintaining and installing new or upgraded electrical systems. You'll also supervise contractors and ensure every job meets the highest standards of compliance and safety.

You won't just be maintaining systems -- you'll be transforming them. You'll ensure all electrical systems are safe, compliant with BS 7671, and that actions from Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) are completed, verified, and recorded to the right standard.

If you're someone who thrives on solving problems, driving change, and wants to

put your signature on a site's improvement journey -- this is your chance.

You'll bring solid experience in reviewing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and confidently carrying out the necessary remedial works to ensure compliance and safety. Your ability to supervise contractors will be essential -- you'll know how to manage external teams effectively, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety protocols.

A deep understanding of BS 7671 and wider Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 underpins your approach to every task. You're someone who can read and interpret complex technical drawings with ease, using them to plan, troubleshoot, and deliver practical solutions on the ground.

You take pride in being safety-conscious, highly organised, and detail-oriented -- qualities that make you reliable and trusted in high-responsibility roles. Above all, you're a clear communicator with natural leadership ability, capable of influencing others and driving positive change across a site.
