Senior Communications Officer

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Communications Officer to work with our client, the Health and Social care board. The successful candidate can choose one of the following locations as their base \xe2\x80\x93 Belfast, Ballymena, Armagh or Foyle. This is a full time role working 9am \xe2\x80\x93 5pm Monday to Friday offering an hourly pay rate of \xc2\xa321.31 per hour. This role is for a minimum of 6 months.

As a Senior Communications Officer you will support the Communications Manager to deliver a range of media, PR projects and communication programmes both internally and externally.

As the successful applicant your main responsibilities will be:

• Write, edit, proof-read and co-ordinate high quality content for internal and external audiences
• Develop and create online content for a range of digital channels including the Trust\'s website and intranet
• Write press releases, statements, briefing papers
• Respond to media requests and brief journalists \xe2\x80\x93 after approval
• Provide communication and marketing advice to managers and staff
• Provide event management support and promotion for key annual events
• Contribute to robust monitoring of social media and political coverage in regards to the health service.

What We Need From You:

• A degree or a recognised qualification in Communications, PR, journalism or marketing
• Relevant experience in a communications/marketing role

OR

• 5 Years relevant experience within a press office, newsroom, Media, PR or corporate communications
