Qualitas are a leading provider of specialised sports coaching to schools within the North East Derbyshire, Bolsover & Chesterfield. Within the school environment, we provide curriculum coaching, lunch time and after school clubs, out of term HAF camps, wrap around care programmes, swimming and cycling initiatives, whilst also CPD initiatives for teachers and staff members covering a broad spectrum of subjects.
As a result of our continued expansion, we are now seeking to recruit a pro active Senior Community manager who will report directly to the Leadership Team and Managing Director. Duties will include the development and implementation of future business initiatives whilst also supporting the business in financial, administrative and development operational responsibilities for a business.
Candidates, preferably graduates in a related sports management or business discipline should be capable of demonstrating a forward thinking attitude towards business development supported by strong financial, organisational and communicative skill sets and display a willingness to provide a long term contribution to the continued success of the business.
Duties may include the following (not exhaustive):
Management of extensive staff rotas, allocation of appropriate resource and communication with all staff members
Implementation of new quality control procedures covering individual areas of the company's various products and initiatives
Communication with individual school headteachers and/or heads of PE in respect of each stage of the product delivery process
The implementation and delivery of community development initiatives
A contribution towards the financial management of the business (training will be provided if required)
Management of contract and service level agreement documentation
Liaison with local authorities, schools, parents and various organisations
Recruitment and staff induction planning and procedures
Working in unison with other senior managers to ensure the highest standards of product content and delivery

This job description sets out the role and responsibilities of a Senior Community Manager employed at Qualitas Sports Ltd. It identifies a range of general and specific technical duties you are required to undertake and be responsible for whilst employed in your job role.
Summary:
The Senior Community Manager's role is to work with schools to organise and create professional, safe, learning, fun and engaging sports and fitness-based activities and events programmes for schools that focuses on child/young people participation. The role will be working alongside another Senior community manager area to make sure the delivery of the Qualitas products, both internal and externally for school, are of a high standard. In addition to working with the senior community manager, each manager will be working to lead and support other community Managers , HE Students, zero hours staff and full-time staff to fulfil coaching hours and products in school.

Events
Before Half Term
Send out PDF's and risk assessments for the events taking place over the year.
Organise staffing for the events and inform coaches of their station and run through of the day via email/WhatsApp.
Collate equipment for events taking place in the upcoming term.
Organise football and netball fixtures for your cluster as well as single-day tournaments for each school.
Agree and decide on appropriate football and netball locations for fixtures and let relevant parties know.
During Half Term
Effectively organize, lead and complete an inter-school sports events calendar for a full academic year.
Each Community Manager will lead the festival-based events for one cluster of schools e.g. Tupton, Chesterfield, Sheffield, Bolsover, Matlock etc.
Many competition events will be combined (See Events Calendar) with another cluster, please liaise with the other Community Managers.
Send out reminders/event instructions 3/2/1 week before the event.
Support other community managers with events.
Create a promotional video and congratulations 48 hours after the event has taken place and send to appropriate schools.
On events days make sure one person's responsibility is capturing footage and pictures of the events to share with schools.
After Half Term
Create a mini report of the events that have taken place from the previous half term and sent to head teachers/PE Coordinators.
Collate results table for fixtures and communicate with the community of schools.
Investigate any complaints/feedback made by schools and collate/retain for promotional purposes positive school feedback regarding event outcomes.
School Product Delivery
Before Half term
To effectively and efficiently organise, lead and deliver a variety of school PE products and activities, sessions and coaching opportunities to schools, using a team of full time and zero-hour staff.
Ensuring that all activities and sessions have pre-prepared and validated sessions plans/schemes of work, that are delivered to a high standard by the Qualitas staff.
Ensure that all Qualitas staff working with schools are Enhanced DBS checked and that this information is shared with all the school's within each cluster.
Induct new staff and communicate with new starters following the correct protocol with the business administrator.
- Communicate and build relationships with schools to help provide the best service possible.
- Provide CPD sessions to Qualitas coaches and school teachers to improve the standard of teaching in PE.

Business Development and Relationship Opportunities
In Schools
Before Half Term
Develop a plan of attack for new schools. Which schools to target, who and when?
Use contacts within your cluster to gain opportunities in school's close in location.
Develop a needs analysis of your community to portray its strengths/ areas for growth.
Maintain a record for each school of what Qualitas products they have utilized and outline a pattern of use which will inform us of their spending habits
Each half term, review start and end dates for products for schools via email to pe coordinators/headteachers.
Communicate with schools which coaches will be leading sessions within school, alongside safeguarding and DBS information.
Make sure school's are aware and have access to Qualitas PE curriculum, 3i's document and Assessment Tool.
During Half Term
Be aware of how many units your cluster averages a week.
Have an in-depth knowledge of Qualitas Products in order to upsell products.
Grow and foster relationships with likeminded small businesses to create potential partnership opportunities.
Half Termly Meetings with PE Coordinators within the community schools.
Arrange for quality assurance lead to check the quality of delivery in schools and meet with them to discuss feedback.
Formulate links with schools, targeting currently schools needs and potential for further products. Discussion with line manager and contracts managers on further opportunities.
Plan and deliver 5 headteacher CPD meetings throughout the year, working collaboratively with other community managers to present this.
After Half Term
Meet with appropriate manager to discuss feedback from schools.
Arrange feedback meetings with schools to discuss product delivered and further improvements. Discuss findings with line manager.
Develop a plan for new school targets and links to discuss with line manager and contract manager.
Send out 'Good Newsletter' at the end of each term outlining the highlights of each term.
School Coaches
Before Half Term
Outline expectations of schools and delivery when entering schools.
Make sure all coaches attending schools have Qualitas kit and necessary equipment before attending sessions.
Ensure coaches have session plans for the half term.
During Half Term
Ask coaches for feedback on the session and report any issues.
Record mistakes made by coaches within the cluster and confirm solutions with the line manager.
Manage a cluster rota to make sure coaches are delivering a quality service in each school.
Ensure a daily rota is communicated to staff using the platform WhatsApp and any changes to be prioritized immediately that working day.
Ensure you are working collaboratively with other cluster managers and keeping PM, CM and MD informed of any key changes to cluster/staff/rota.
Make sure Rota is up to date by Friday of each week so labour can be calculated for the completed week.
After Half Term
Recognize and reward coaches that have been consistently delivering at a high standard during the half term.
Internal Responsibilities
Maintain an average coaching hour as agreed with product manager per half term.
Attend mandatory health & safety, and first-aid training.
Maintaining CPD professional knowledge and understanding in line with national governing body coaching/instructor requirements.
Liaise with the Contracts Manager regarding planned products being delivered in schools to assist in the correct invoices being sent to the appropriate schools.
Qualifications
- Level 2 or higher coaching Qualification.
- A Sport Coaching (or equivalent degree) or Teaching degree or Qualification (or equivalent).
- Full UK Driving License [Desirable].
- DBS Certificate [Desirable].
- First Aid Qualification [Desirable].
- Child Safeguarding and Welfare Qualification [Desirable].
Skills and Experience
- Experience working with KS1 and KS2 children in schools.
- Experience running primary school events for children.
- Manage clear communication skills to liaise with school staff, children and other members of the Qualitas coaching team.
- Adaptable to a variety of scenarios and ability to think on your feet.
- Enthusiasm for working with children and developing their own skills.
- Being prepared to work outside their comfort zone.
- Experience working with teachers and school staff to either provide a strategy, opportunity or expertise to develop a subject or scheme of work for children [Desirable].
