About the role:
Provides expert leadership on heating systems, focusing on energy efficiency and climate adaptation. Conducts quality assurance inspections, develops technical specifications, and advises on fuel-efficient installations aligned with Council standards. Maintains current knowledge to support livability, maintainability, and longevity of
housing infrastructure.
Manage and support external contracts.
About you:
-Strong leadership and people management skills to inspire, develop, and guide a technical compliance team.
-Expertise in domestic and commercial heating systems, with a passion for energy efficiency and climate adaptation. -Thorough understanding of statutory and regulatory compliance across housing systems including heating, electrical, water, fire safety, asbestos, and lifting equipment. -Analytical and quality assurance skills to inspect, monitor, and improve service delivery and installations. -Budget management and strategic planning capabilities to oversee servicing and maintenance budgets effectively. -Commitment to continuous improvement and customer-focused service, with a drive to deliver safe, sustainable housing solutions.
What you will do:
-Oversee compliance processes, procedures, and budgets across Housing Services assets to meet all statutory and regulatory requirements. -Lead and develop the Compliance Technical Administrators team, ensuring effective recruitment, training, and performance management. -Provide expert guidance on heating and energy systems, promoting fuel-efficient
solutions aligned with Council housing standards. -Manage inspection, servicing, and maintenance schedules for heating systems, ensuring full legislative compliance. -Ensure accurate data management and reporting for compliance across water, fire safety, asbestos, and lifting equipment systems. -Conduct inspections and investigations, manage budgets, support legal action, and represent the Council in relevant forums and meetings.

Pay: 40,777.00-42,839.00 per year
