A global defence organisation who delivers mission value that transforms client systems are looking to recruit a Senior Configuration Engineer. This role covers both Hardware & Software Configuration Management within one of their major programmes.

Key Accountabilities - Senior Configuration Engineer

+ Ensure Configuration Management processes and plans are compliant to standards.

+ Carry out internal and external auditing against process.

+ Support in identifying tooling (Windchill/SAP) upgrades and manage licensing with vendors.

+ Ensure change management principles are applied to all controlled data.

+ Ensure product definitions are correctly identified.

+ Deliver configuration status accounting responsibilities such as metrics.

+ Chair configuration management meetings such as CCB\'s.

+ Lobby stakeholders and sell the benefits of Configuration Management within an organisation.

+ Manage Software Configuration Management Activities and Requirement

Skills and knowledge required - Senior Configuration Engineer

+ Demonstrated functional knowledge of hardware and software configuration management tools, best practices, and industry standards.

+ Demonstrated ability to influence and direct project teams on proper configuration control for major programs or multiple smaller programs.

+ Experience of PLM/MRP/ERP Tools such as Windchill and SAP.

+ Experience with All Change
