About the Opportunity




The Senior Construction Manager is accountable for the supervision, direction and monitoring of the day to day operation on site ensuring all contractors are coordinated and working safely and effectively to the delivery programme.

Responsibilities;

Manage and have ownership of delivery of the site elements of the project to achieve or improve upon set objectives of time, cost, safety and quality. Managing the project in accordance with CDM regulations 2015. Managing and coordinating a workforce of multi-discipline tradesmen and subcontractors including the overall supervision of construction activities the monitoring of planning and quality of construction activities. Regular and ad hoc management reporting on site activities to provide the HOC and Senior Leadership Team necessary visibility of progress and issues. Advises and consults with HOC on site construction team and subcontractor performance to deliver the requirements of the project. Ensure exemplary HSE drive across all areas, focussing on high risk activities (including project risk based identified hazards / risks) and undertaking regular HSE inspections. Ensuring all changes are recorded and administered in accordance with the project change control procedure through the site commercial team.


Skills, Knowledge required;



Degree or NVQ6 level qualified SMSTS, CSCS Site Manager card Significant site and construction experience typically 5-10 years, UK and overseas based. Management of multi-disciplined team of Construction Managers and Subcontractors. Experience of different contract types (LSTK, EPCM, Target cost, including NEC suite of contracts).
