Job Description

About Channel 3

At Channel 3, we are united by a clear sense of purpose: to improve lives by transforming how people experience health, care and education.

We help clients design and deliver new models of care and support, with digital and data at the heart of transformation. Our Now, Next and Future mindset ensures we help our clients deliver meaningful change today while preparing for whats coming tomorrow.

This is an incredibly exciting time to join Channel 3. We are growing fast and becoming the consultancy of choice for people who want to build their careers in digitally powered change across health, care and education.

Our success comes down to our people: their talent, curiosity, and passion for making a difference. We work hard to create an environment where everyone feels supported to learn, develop, and have fun together. We care deeply about what we do and give our colleagues the freedom to shape their own development, influence how we work, and play an active role in shaping Channel 3s future.

The role

We are looking for Senior Consultants who can deliver tangible impact by working in true partnership with our clients across local authority childrens services and SEND. You will be a committed team player who can motivate, support and develop others, while inspiring confidence in those you work with.

You will contribute to the growth of our business in this area and bring a strong background in consulting or transformation, ideally within childrens services and SEND. We also value breadth: the ability and appetite to apply your skills across Channel 3s wider work in health and adult social care.

What you will do

Project delivery

Lead workstreams and small consultancy engagements within childrens services and SEND, putting digital and data at the heart of transformation. Manage complex client transformation projects, maintaining a strong focus on outcomes, impact, and return on investment. Play a key role in the design and delivery of client workshops, meetings, and presentations. Produce reports and deliverables that meet and aim to exceed client expectations. Maintain an evidence base to demonstrate the outcomes and impact of your work. Supervise, mentor and support project team colleagues, including Consultants and Analysts.

Client engagement

Bring a natural instinct for co-production, putting the voices and experiences of people who use services at the centre of change. Build and nurture key client relationships by delivering on your commitments and adding real value. Manage stakeholder expectations proactively and with transparency. Work with, not to*; shaping transformation collaboratively, with respect and empathy.
Communicate with confidence, clarity and care at all levels, from front-line practitioners to senior leaders. Demonstrate professional respect and emotional intelligence in every interaction.

Knowledge & innovation

Bring your specialist expertise to enhance the quality and impact of our delivery. Build and deepen your knowledge of the childrens services and SEND landscape, as well as digital transformation and innovation across the wider sectors Channel 3 supports. Contribute to the development of new tools, approaches and methodologies that harness technology to solve clients most pressing challenges.

Business development

Work with clients and colleagues to strengthen key accounts, identify opportunities, and grow our collective impact. Spot and shape new opportunities to help clients address their biggest challenges, from first conversation through to successful delivery. Contribute to proposals, thought leadership and wider business development activities that showcase Channel 3s expertise and purpose.

Who we would like to hear from

We are looking for people who bring:

Experience delivering change and transformation projects within childrens services, SEND, or local government. Strong consulting skills, from analysis and problem-solving to stakeholder engagement. Understanding of local government and/or NHS structures, processes and challenges. A genuine passion for designing, planning and delivering digital and data-enabled transformation. Experience analysing data and turning insight into clear, evidence-based recommendations and impactful deliverables. A proactive, hands-on approach and confidence in engaging with clients and partners. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to positively influence others. Strong ethics, integrity, and the ability to act as role models for colleagues and clients alike.
