The Role




As a

Senior Consultant, Data Science

, you'll lead data-driven solutions, mentor a growing team, and collaborate to deliver impactful results. Your key responsibilities will include:

Apply Data Science Expertise: Use advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyse large datasets, derive actionable insights, and develop predictive models for our clients. This includes tasks such as data preprocessing, feature engineering, model selection, and evaluation. Provide Leadership & Mentorship: Offer guidance and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring they grow professionally and stay up to date with the latest trends in data science and technology. You'll also contribute to fostering an innovative mindset within the team. Communicate Insights Clearly: Present complex findings and insights in a clear, actionable format for stakeholders through effective data visualisations and reports, using tools like Power BI or custom-built dashboards. Collaborate Across Teams: Build strong relationships with both internal teams and clients, working closely with multidisciplinary groups to ensure solutions align with client needs and deliver high impact.

Requirements



About You




To succeed in this role, you should have a proven ability in developing machine learning models, and bring a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. We're looking for someone with the following qualifications and experience:

Educational Background: Degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, data science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or economics). Machine Learning & Data Science: Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, with a solid understanding of analytical techniques for extracting insights from large datasets. Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, R, Java, or C++. Data Visualisation: Experience with tools like Power BI or custom-built dashboards to present complex data effectively. Agile Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks, and experience in working in Agile environments. Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrable ability to build and leverage relationships across a wide range of stakeholder groups, including product, data, analytics, and business strategy teams, and across a range of industries. Leadership: Ability to lead projects independently, managing priorities and delivering results in a collaborative environment.
