Location - London or Winchester with hybrid working as per departmental requirements (currently a MINIMUM of 40% (2 days per week) with Tuesday as the team day.




In 2020 LCP launched our Heath Analytics practice, providing analytical and research services for organisations across the life sciences and healthcare industries. Our team brings together health economists, statisticians, market access specialists, epidemiologists, clinicians, and health data scientists alongside our established actuarial, analytics and technology teams to deliver new solutions for the fundamental challenges in health. Our team's mission is to help move health systems from importers of illness to exporters of health and to support our clients to deliver value to patients. This is underpinned by our approach to support clients to improve the population's health and reduce inequalities.

What's the role and who are the team?




LCP's Health Analytics team works across the healthcare and life sciences markets, combining health expertise with innovative approaches from our work in other sectors to tackle leading health issues. Joining our Health Analytics team will provide you with opportunities to work on a range of projects based on your interests and skillset.


Examples of the types of projects that we undertake for our clients include:

Estimating the cost effectiveness or budget impact of interventions using traditional HTA methods but also more holistically from both patients and health systems perspectives. Associated activities include: + Model conceptualisation and input into evidence generation strategies
+ Model programming including supporting input sourcing and statistical analysis
+ Model validation and expert elicitation
+ Reporting/publications
Risk prediction and modelling Forecasting disease burden, healthcare demand (e.g., analysis of waiting list data) and cost Analysis of clinical trial data for use in health economic modelling Evidence synthesis projects including indirect treatment comparisons Advanced study designs including external comparator arms and quantitative bias analysis Innovative approaches to identifying and quantifying unmet need and inequalities Market access landscape and strategy Data landscaping and evidence generation strategy Real world evidence studies using electronic healthcare records, registries, biobanks and databases Design and simulation of reimbursement models including outcome-based agreements

We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant Health Economist with a track record in leading and delivering client-facing projects to join the team. This is an opportunity for you to lead projects that use cutting edge health data science, statistics, and health economic methods to solve some of the most challenging issues in healthcare. Your responsibilities




As Senior Consultant in LCP's Health Analytics team you will be involved in a diverse range of projects, covering both client and non-client work.


Your key responsibilities will be to:

Lead projects day-to-day including coordination and project management of internal delivery teams alongside client-facing coordination of projects Design solutions to the complex problems our clients in the healthcare and life sciences industry face and present these solutions in an accessible manner Demonstrate a high level of expertise in health economic approaches and methods Embrace people responsibilities including the line management and development of less experienced team members, depending on candidate's experience and interests

What skills, experience and qualities are we looking for?



Considerable, demonstrable, relevant experience in a Health Economics or Statistics role within a consultancy A 2:1 degree or better in a numerate or science subject, and a health-related Masters degree or PhD (Health Economics, Statistics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Data Science) Excellent grounding in Health Economics and/or Statistics with demonstrated experience in conceptualising and delivering a range of health economic or statistical analyses Experience working on HTA submissions is desirable, as is experience undertaking statistical analyses (e.g., survival analysis, utility analysis) to support economic evaluation Experience in methods for external comparator arms (e.g. MAIC and similar methods) is desirable Comfortable working as part of a growing, dynamic team, leading on day-to-day project activities and managing the workload of less experienced colleagues Comfortable engaging in a variety of project types, including across market access and evidence generation Experience in business development activities, including proposal writing and pitch presentations, is desirable Thrive in a team seeking to advance methods and leverage evolving technology, e.g., AI Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to explain complex issues to a wide ranging audience Excellent Microsoft Office skills, highly competent in the use of Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Programming experience in R or Python is desirable
