Your part in our mission





The complexity of what the UK Government needs to procure is increasing rapidly. Your purpose is to help our clients make smarter procurement decisions, making sure public funds are spent effectively and compliantly. Not only that, but you will help us develop AI solutions to help speed up development of procurement document and processes.




Our structure





At Squarcle, we work in a matrix structure designed to support your growth and success. You'll have a Performance Manager to guide your career development, an

Engagement Manager

to support your day-to-day project work, and a

Capability Lead

to ensure best practice across tools, people, and processes. This role sits within our Procurement Capability, where you'll work closely with

Andrew

, our

Head of Procurement

, and report into one of our Engagement Managers. Your Performance Manager and project assignment will be confirmed once your first engagement is agreed.




This is what you'll be doing





As a

Senior Consultant

within our Procurement capability you'll be joining us as we build momentum. This means there's room for people to shape how we grow, not just keep up with it. Some of your key day to day activities will include:


Building strong relationships with stakeholders, making sure the right people are engaged and the work lands with impact Preparing and running client workshops where complex challenges are unpacked and new ideas take shape Turning analysis into insight - distilling the detail into clear advice clients can act on Crafting thoughtful options and appraisals that help clients make confident, well-informed decisions Developing commercial tools, models, and artifacts that stand up to scrutiny and create real value Briefing and advising clients in a way that balances challenge with support - you won't just deliver outputs, you'll influence outcomes

The skills you'll need to succeed in this role




Public sector procurement experience:

Either within a contracting authority or as part of a consultancy, you will know your competitive flexible procedures from your open framework, and have a passion for achieving the most advantageous outcome for the public sector

Successfully delivering procurement and commercial projects:

turning analysis into insight, and insight into action

Hands-on experience:

enough to have seen multiple projects from end-to-end and learned how to navigate complex client environments



How we'll assess your skills





Our interview process for this role will involve two steps:


Step 1:

Meet with our Recruitment Manager, Corina. She'll introduce you to Squarcle, the role, and answer any questions you may have about us. We'll be assessing some basic skills for the role and finding out more about your background.


Step 2:

Meet with our Head of Procurement, Andrew. He'll deep dive into your consulting and procurement skills in a competency interview and answer any further questions you may have about the role.

This role requires you to obtain a Security Check (SC) security clearance. If it isn't obtained, or is obtained but with caveats that prevent you from carrying out the role, any conditional offer made to you will be withdrawn.
