Senior Consultant, Workplace Strategy

London, United Kingdom

Job Description

Incendium are hiring!

Incendium Consulting Ltd is a 7 year young, thriving consulting business, supporting corporate clients across all industries with their real estate and facilities transformation projects.

Within Incendium Consulting, we have 3 main practice areas:

  • Target Operating Model and Procurement
  • Sustainability
  • Strategy and change
We currently have c90 resources on client projects, split equally between employed and contractor and are looking to further expand our pool of trusted experts (preferably as full-time employees but we are very happy to discuss contracting too) to serve client needs.

At Incendium, we are part of The Instant group since 2019, a global workplace services business with 500 staff and locations in 18 countries. We pride ourselves on providing competitive packages and benefits, the best projects and opportunities and a people centric culture that is core to everything we do.

Who are we hiring?

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Workplace and Portfolio Strategy Senior Consultant (\xe2\x80\x9cSenior Consultant\xe2\x80\x9d) to join our team. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in assisting organisations in effectively designing workplace strategy initiatives across global portfolios, managing site by site workplace transformations including change management initiatives, optimising operations to support the strategy and designing the strategy for wider Real Estate Asset classes. Your expertise and guidance will help our clients adapt to the ever-evolving business landscape while maintaining employee satisfaction and productivity and driving net zero carbon initiatives.

Working in a consulting business, we are client facing the majority of the time, we are therefore typically partly based on client sites, partly working from our own office (London or others in the UK and EMEA depending on your location) and partly working remotely. The balance between those 3 varies greatly depending on the assignment.

What will you be responsible for?

Workplace Transformation:
Collaborate with clients to design and implement workplace transformation strategies that align with their business and people objectives. This includes assessing current workplace practices, identifying areas for improvement, and developing plans to implement change seamlessly.

Change Management:
Facilitate change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new workplace processes, technologies, and practices. Develop and execute change management plans, conduct training sessions, and provide ongoing support to employees and management throughout the transition.

Organisational Strategy:
Analyse and evaluate the clients\' organisational structure, culture, and workflows. Propose and implement strategic improvements that optimise efficiency, foster innovation, and enhance overall performance.

Workplace Technology Integration:
Advise clients on procuring and integrating cutting-edge technologies and digital solutions into their workplace, promoting collaboration, communication, and efficiency.

Employee Engagement:
Develop strategies to enhance employee engagement, job satisfaction, and overall well-being during times of change. Work closely with HR departments to implement employee-centric programs and foster a positive work environment.

Data Analysis:
Utilise data-driven insights to identify workplace trends, challenges, and opportunities. Leverage data analysis to support evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement.

Client Relationship Management:
Establish strong, trust-based relationships with clients, acting as a strategic partner and trusted advisor. Continuously communicate with clients to understand their evolving needs and provide innovative solutions accordingly.

Project Management:
Oversee the end-to-end execution of either Portfolio Strategy or Workplace change and strategy projects, ensuring deliverables are met within scope, budget, and timelines.

What are we looking for?
  • Experience in a workplace consulting and change management environment either as a consultant or client side with experience of setting the overarching workplace portfolio strategies as well as single site strategies.
  • Experience working with wider Real Estate portfolio is beneficial so you can quickly link up our wider organisation across Incendium and Instant Group
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, build rapport, and foster teamwork. Knowledge of design thinking methodologies useful.
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, adapting strategies as needed to meet client needs and industry trends.
  • Familiarity with workplace technology and digital tools, and an understanding of their impact on organisational processes.
  • Proven track record in successfully leading and managing workplace change initiatives, including organisational restructuring, technology adoption, and cultural transformation.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Organisational Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field is helpful but not a necessity. A Master\'s degree is a plus.
  • At Incendium we do not define experience and skills in years, so purely as a guide as we often get asked, our Senior Consultants typically have 5-6 years of experience in a similar environment.
What\'s in it for you?
