Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contract Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and organisational policies. This role requires strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills to effectively manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. The Contract Manager will play a crucial role in project management within the construction sector, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Duties



Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts in accordance with organisational policies and legal requirements. Collaborate with project managers to ensure that all contract terms are fulfilled and that projects remain on schedule and within budget. Conduct regular reviews of contract performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes. Maintain accurate records of contracts, amendments, and correspondence using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Provide leadership and guidance to team members regarding contract management processes and best practices. Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve any contractual issues or disputes. Utilise Microsoft Project for planning and tracking project timelines related to contract deliverables. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the construction environment.

Qualifications



Proven experience in contract management or a related field, preferably within the construction industry. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract outcomes. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Project for effective project management. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate clear interactions with various stakeholders. Strong leadership abilities to motivate team members and drive project success. Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A valid driving licence is preferred for travel between sites as required.
